Jesus says in the New Testament, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do” (John 14:12  KJV). Christian Science is based on Bible truths that enable Christian healing as practiced by Christ Jesus. Christian Scientists fully accept and believe Jesus’ promise.

Christian Science explains that the healing power of prayer lies in faith and a deeper understanding of God’s divine nature that embraces humanity.  By understanding the complete goodness of God and our inseparability from that goodness, anyone can learn and apply these truths to the demands of today and find healing in their lives.

The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, the textbook of Christian Science by Mary Baker Eddy, serve as the Pastor for each Church of Christ, Scientist, providing guidance and inspiration, as well as readings for church services. All church activities and services are conducted by church members.

Church Organization

Mary Baker Eddy founded The Church of Christ, Scientist in 1879. It includes “The Mother Church” in Boston, Massachusetts and locally organized branch churches worldwide, each providing Sunday worship services, a Sunday School, mid-week testimony meetings, a public Reading Room, and free public talks.
